Can Furrion Chill Cube RV AC Unit Replace Coleman and Still Allow Furnace to Work
Updated 06/26/2025 | Published 06/23/2025 >
Question:
Hello, I currently have a 2015 Sporttrek camper with the original Coleman AC unit and propane furnace running off a MicroAir Easy Touch RV thermostat. I am looking to replace the AC with a Furrion Chill Cube and I am ok with just having it controlled by the remote and it not be controlled by the EasyTouch thermostat but will my furnace still work off the MicroAit Easy Touch thermostat without the Coleman AC unit connected?

Hey Eric, the Furrion Chill Cube part # FR59TD will do a great job replacing your Coleman but it needs to use all of it's components to install and none of your Colemans which it sounds like you already are aware of. Your thermostat will work fine to still control your furnace too so there would be non issue with it once the Coleman is removed. How did you like the Coleman?

Thanks for the info, I figured that's the way it would work but just wanted clarification before purchasing it. The original Coleman has done a good job but getting old, we are going on the road full time soon and figured we would upgrade to some new technology before hitting the road. I see the part # you recommended is for ductless, our camper has ducted AC, IS this the correct Part Number: LC34DX?
