Hi Shawn!
The Champion 4,000-Watt Portable Inverter Generator - Gas - Manual Start - CO Shield - RV Ready # CH79FR can indeed be used 6 to 10,000 feet up, but it should be noted that engine power and generator output will be reduced approximately 3.5% for every 1000 ft. of elevation you are above sea level.
That will end up being pretty bad at 10,000 feet, so you will want to grab the Replacement High Altitude Main Carburetor Jet for Champion Generators # CH85SR as well. This is rated up to 3,000 meters (9842-1/2 feet for us Americans), so you will probably still get a bit of drop in power output, but it would be a lot less than you would with the regular jet.
Where are you headed? Not a lot of spots in the US that are that high.
