Troubleshooting Lights Not Working On 2023 Flagstaff Classic Camper
Updated 05/09/2026 | Published 05/05/2026 >
Question:
I have a 2023 Flagstaff classic camper and my running lights work on the camper but don’t have any signal and brake lights at all. I’ve checked my fuses and connections on the truck and trailer and they are good and even hooked a whole different truck up to it and same problem. What else could I do?

Hey Ray! Since you tried out a different vehicle and had the same issue we can rule out the vehicle side. The first thing I would do is check your ground connection and make sure it is secure.
After that, I would go ahead and hook it up, run your brakes or signals, and test for power on the trailer side. Start by testing right behind the trailer connector. If you don't have power here then the connector is likely the issue and you can replace it with # PK12706. Otherwise, work your way back and check for a short in the wiring, repair as necessary.

I second Ray's input. Many times with lights it's a ground. I had an issue however that was a severed wire on the Lt rear turn signal. Tearing into a little Jayco was not fun.. but there it was a severed wire still in the insulating jacket. Check for a brake signal on your vehicle harness first... then onto that trailer harness staring up front. You'll get it. Best, dan
