Hey Johnny, welcome back! The HappiJac Qwik-Load Turnbuckles for Camper Tie-Downs item # LC182895 need to be cleaned with soap and water a few times a year. You'll also want to use automotive wax and lubricate the moving parts regularly and each time you clean them.
You'll need to unthread the hooks to grease the internals. It is also recommended to remove them while your camper is being stored for longer periods of time.
How do you have the HappiJac item # LC182895 orientated on your camper? Is the threaded hook facing up or down?

Hey thanks for the reply. After I submitted the question I found that the threaded part comes all the way out. I filled the internals with grease so we should be good now. The threaded hook is on the bottom. I’m using it in a salty coastal environment so I’ll have to keep up with it. Thanks again!
