A tractor bucket isn't made for towing, but sometimes you need to move a trailer across the yard or shift equipment around the farm. That's when this clamp-on receiver comes in. It mounts right to the edge of your bucket with a screw clamp, no drilling or welding required. Tighten it down, slide in a ball mount or other 2" hitch accessory, and your bucket is ready to tow. @KateF A single axle and tandem covered trailers I use to haul motorcycles mostly.

It’s heavy duty and It works great! I hook it on the bucket of my 25hp Kubota and move trailers with ease. But it would not work on my big boat trailer because it has disc brakes. The control cable must be connected to your truck in order to release the brakes. But I had no problems with my other trailers. Etrailer sells quality items.

I think it would be beneficial to have longer clamp on for the bucket. Also, some kind of wings on each side. I used it to move my camper. It worked but I had to be careful when I turned as the hitch would move also. I had to readjust and re-tighten it.

I tested this on my 25HP Kioti tractor and my 16K GVWR trailer
With my tractor I had to roll the bucket, put it 4wd. IT Moved it!!
That moving it had to work without it sliding on the bucket, PASSED that test also.
