Will Dexter A-84 Inner Member Fit UFP A-75

Question:

Can you verify for me that the UFP 099-384-20 will bolt in place of the UFP A-75 2”? I am wanting to convert my boat trailer to 2 5/16 so I dont have to change hitches back and forth and I dont really want any sort of turnover ball hitch.

Hi Carl; there isn’t a 2-5/16" inner member available for the A-75. While some of the UFP actuator components are similar between models, the inner members are not considered interchangeable replacements. To switch to a 2-5/16" ball, you would need to pick up a different actuator model.

Considering the cost of a 2-5/16" actuator you may be better off picking up a new ball mount. Something like the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount # BWTS10037B can easily switch between a 2" and 2-5/16" ball and will save you some money.
