The Replacement Rubber Grommet for RV Gray Water Tanks - 1-1/2" Inner Diameter # F02-2105 is designed to work with 1-1/2" nominal PVC or ABS pipe, which is the standard size for most RV gray water drain lines.
That 1-1/2" refers to the nominal pipe size. The actual outside diameter of the pipe is about 1.9", which allows it to fit snugly inside the grommet and create a tight seal.
I know choosing the wrong size can lead to a loose fit and leaks at the gray tank, which is frustrating and often means redoing the work. This grommet is made to give you a secure, sealed connection so you can trust your setup and avoid seepage.
