Now, folks, this is actually a non-locking thumb turn they just called a lock. It doesn't actually lock, and this will keep your compartments closed. As you know, you can just simply twist this once you get everything installed.
They give you two cams, a straight one, and one with an offset, so depending on what your specific needs are, you've got both options there. And that thumb turn design lets you operate the latch again without a key. It does fit smaller lock openings. Five-eighth inch size is gonna work with those smaller compartment cutouts, and that five-eighths is measured from the usable length of the threads there. So make sure you're double checking all your sizes if you're replacing one or if you're just adding one as well.
