I have a 2025 Malone Microsport XT trailer with the C E Smith 1800 lb axle. I would like to purchase a trailer hub assembly kit to use as a spare in case of emergency when towing. What CE Smith hub assembly w/carrying case is most appropriate for this axle, and what type and brand of grease is used to pre lube these hubs

Hey there Gary, while we have the correct hubs you need, there is not a kit from CE Smith for this setup. You'd instead want the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 2,000-lb Axles - 5 on 4-1/2 # AKIHUB-545-2-G-1K which is galvanized marine grade.
The kit also includes all bearings, seal, cap, lug nuts etc. so you won't need anything else aside from grease # L11390. This would be a good kit to keep in the vehicle as a spare setup. While it doesn't have a carrying case, you could always get a cheap little plastic box somewhere locally or online to store it in.
