Question:

I have a 2022 malone microsport kayak trailer. I’m trying to figure out what hubs and grease I need to use and do the hub kits come with a replacement castle nut? Not sure if this helps but the axle has a ce smith 1,800lb sticker on it. Thank you for your help.

Hey Jesse,

I recommend the etrailer idler hub # AKIHUB-545-2-G-1K as a replacement for your trailer. It is the same 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern as your trailer and uses the same bearings for that 1" spindle that the acle uses. It does not come with a castle nut so you would just need to grab one of the # 165686 to pair with that. Any lithium-complex multi-purpose grease is used with those, color does not matter.

What kind of kayaks are you using that Microsport trailer for?
