No Drill Brake Controller For A 2026 Nissan Frontier

Looking for no drill install on my 2026 Nissan Frontier with tow package. Does the control know on the C51170 or C99GV adhere or stick to the dash without mounting thru the dash? If so, how does the knob communicate with the controller? Not real interested in the blue tooth / wireless models at this point.

Hi Bob!

The Curt Spectrum Brake Controller w/ Custom Harness - Dash Mounted Knob - Up to 4 Axles - Proportional # C99GV does indeed stick to the dash, so there is absolutely no drilling needed for the install. The knob attaches to the main unit via a 4' long cable, so you will need to figure out where and how you want to run that. This also comes with the pigtail adapter that will plug directly into a port under your dash, so you just need to decide where you want to mount everything and you are good to go. Just make sure you have the 7-way on the back of your Frontier. If you do not, you will also want to grab the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 7-Way Trailer Connector # C56226.

Now I know you said you aren't interested in the wireless options, and I would typically agree with you on that, but check out the Redarc Tow-Pro Link Bluetooth Brake Controller - Off-Road Mode - 4 Axles - Proportional # RED57AR. This is a wireless option, but being from Redarc, I trust it a lot more than other wireless options on the market. It plugs into the back of your 7-way (the USCAR connector) and you do need to set up the controller with their app the first time, but the remote is easy to use once that's done. It's also made in Australia, so it's very durable. I understand not really being interested, but I still figured I would throw it out there. Redarc makes my favorite controllers currently on the market as they just work and work without fail.
