Updated 04/03/2026 | Published 03/30/2026

Question:

I have a 4 inch lift on my 2012 ram 2500. Which type of sumo springs do I need to use because of the lift? Thanks Terry

Hey Terry, great question and I’m glad you’re checking on this since that lift does change things a bit. The SumoSprings you’ll want is part # SSR-302-54, and this kit does come with a 1/2 inch spacer. SumoSprings recommends having no more than about a 1/2 inch to 1 inch gap between the spring and the frame, so with a 4 inch lift you may end up needing additional spacers, which we don’t carry. I did reach out to SumoSprings though, and they said they can provide extra spacers if needed to get that spacing dialed in.

The Rebel version can’t be used with spacers, so this is the correct route for your setup. The nice thing about these is they do a really good job balancing out sag without making the ride harsh like other dense rubber springs on the market, so you still keep that comfort while getting better support.

What do you use your Ram 2500 for most, work runs, camping, or trails? Are you trying to fix rear sag?
