Hi Chris!
The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2" # e83ZR will indeed fit your 2026 Subaru Forester Wilderness edition.
This will bolt right on, though there is an underbody panel that will need to be removed and then reattached. There is also no drilling through vehicle frame required for installation, but access holes will need to be enlarged by filing or with a rotary tool (see included install video). Sounds a little intimidating, but it's actually pretty straightforward and not too bad. Just take your time.
Since you were also looking at the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter w/ 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector and Install Kit # C59496, I assume you are looking to tow something. With that said, what are you planning on towing?
