Question:
Does a 2019 Ford F250 detect a trailer is connected with this? As you know, aux power does not get engaged until the trailer is detected and brake is touched once.....

Hey Bob, yes your Ford F-250 is going to think a trailer is detected when the Pollak 7-way tester part # PK12741 is plugged into your 7-way. This does put enough of an amperage draw on the truck to think that trailer wiring has been connected. Are you hoping to trick it and then use the power circuit for something else?

First you say that it will think the trailer is connected and then add it does not draw enough current for it to think the trailer wiring is connected? Help me first understand what appears to a conflict in an answer. All I want to do is make sure that the 12 volt aux is working from the truck, and to do that the Ford must thinks IT IS connected to the trailer and also, from what I read the brake pedal needs to be depressed before the 12 volt aux circuit is engaged!
