Which Bracket Kit Fits Thule TracRac Ladder Rack to 2026 Toyota Tacoma with Factory Bed Rail System

Question:

I have a TracRac on my 2015 Toyota Tacoma rail system. I traded the truck in for a 2026 Tacoma. The rail system on the new truck is lower and the mounts used on the 2015 Tacoma do not fit the 2016 Tacoma. Which new mounts do I need to purchase? I don’t need a tool box mount, just mounts for the two TracRacs.

Hey Tom, I checked with Thule and the correct mounting brackets for a Thule TracOne to fit your 2026 Toyota Tacoma with the factory bed rail system is the part # THXK4B. What do you carry with the ladder rack?

Thank you for the help. I ordered the mounting brackets this morning. I usually use only one ladder rack with a strap tied in loops. This allows me to transport fishing poles safely.

The mounting brackets THXK4B at least work on my 2025 Tacoma. Due to the design of the truck (position of power ports), the rear rack cannot sit as far back on the truck as I would like, thereby shortening the span of the racks. The bolts supplied are far too long and their large flat heads will chew into the side of the truck bed.. I had to replace those with much shorter stainless steel hex screws. And the mounting brackets do not sit neatly on the truck rails due to the tapering rail design, but that is more aesthetic. So, they will work, but not perfectly.
