Can Thule OutPace Carry 55 lb Step-Through E-Bikes on 2025 Hyundai Tucson PHEV

Question:
Im looking for a hitch rack for my 2025 Hyundai Tucson PHEV with the Hyundai 2inch hitch receiver. I want to carry two 55-lb step-through e-bikes. Is the Thule Outpace likely to handle this configuration?

Hey Robert! The Thule OutPace # TH39SA will work as long as your tires are no wider than 3". Everything else will work well with your e-bikes. The max capacity is 55 lbs per bike so you're right at capacity but that's fine. The strap mounts to the frame which is perfect for a step-through design.
If you have wider tires let me know in the comments below and I'll see what else is available. What kind of e-bikes do you have?

Thanks for the confirmation. Our bikes are recent Momentum Lafree's, so they have fenders, a rear rack battery, and 2.35" tires. The weight is 55 lbs with the battery, so we'd be under the maximum weight when the battery is removed. The Outpace sounds ideal for our needs.
