How To Tow A Vehilce With an etrailer Baseplate and a Roadmaster Falcon Tow Bar

Updated 03/13/2026 | Published 03/12/2026

Question:

2 things Im looking at the e24fv for my 2027 encore Avenir. I already have a falcon tow bar. Which adapter do I need for the tow bar? Secondly, my car has electric assist brakes so no vacuum system to power brakes. What permanent brake system will work? Hydraulic brakes on my rv. Thanks, Bill

Hey, William.

Thanks for your question.

To use the etrailer Invisible Base Plate Kit # e24FV, you can use adapter kit # e99037 or # DM9523036. The # e99037 kit includes two different adapters, but you would only use one of them. The # DM9523036 comes with exactly what you need without any extra parts.

For a braking system, the Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo # DM86VR is the route you want to go in. It’s compatible with the electric assist brakes on your 2026 Buick Encore GX. It sounds like you’re carrying some parts over from a previous flat tow setup, so you may already have most of what you need.

There are a few additional parts required for your new Buick that typically can’t be reused:

Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Kit # RM-152
Roadmaster 6-Wire Trailer Connector #R M-910030-7
Roadmaster Battery Ace Battery Disconnect # RM39ZT

When’s the first trip you’re planning to take with your Buick?
