Will The Brophy Slide In Camper Tie-Downs HSAB Fit on a 2015 Toyota Tundra

Updated 03/13/2026 | Published 03/03/2026

Question:

I was super curious if the brophy slide in camper tie down-extra clearance-no drill bed mount would fit my 2015 Toyota tundra 6.5 foot bed? I really would appreciate some feedback! Thank you

Hey, Hart!

The Brophy Camper Tie Downs # HSAB are universal, not custom fit, so we don’t have a confirmed fit specifically for your 2015 Tundra. That said, they will work as long as you have at least 2" of space between the bed sidewall and the bed rail lip for the brackets to fit properly.

They won’t work if you have a drop-in bed liner, double-walled bed, aftermarket bed rails, or a factory side-step bed.

If you can confirm that 2" clearance, you should be good to go with a no-drill setup.

What truck bed camper do you have or are getting?

They're easy to put on on a 6 ft bed they pretty much go all the way to the front and all the way to the back just two bolts you can have a all on in about 15 minutes they don't bend up the rail on the bed Make sure you got the rubber padding put on so they don't scratch I had it palomino camper in the back up and down roads in the mountains out in Colorado Rocky roads never had a problem with them use turnbuckles from the camper to the tie downs

@Steve Thanks for sharing your experience, Steve. It's interesting to hear how everything is holding up on your truck. Someone shared they had a camper roughly the same weight as yours on their short bed and mentioned when they drove on any unpaved roads, nothing too crazy, it couldn't keep the camper in place. I'm glad to hear yours is staying in place with no issues. When is your next trip with the camper?

As previously mentioned they are pretty easy to install. I installed them on a 2024 Tundra Crew Max 5.5 foot bed….However they did not work for my, my Lance camper is about 1,600 lbs Lance 650, one I tried with turnbuckles to the camper, but they did not provide enough angle to give sufficient vertical downforce to prevent the 1,60O lb calmer from sliding around whe on forest dirt roads. I’m not talking about hard core or even soft core 4-wheeling, just driving on a graded dirt forest service road. If you have a lite weight camper, say 750 lbs or less they might work for you. These did not work for me. I need up spending about $400 and bought rear bumper bumper tie-downs brackets with the adjustable 30” hold down rods for the rear and the front external brackets with the in bed support infrastructure and used 24” adjustable tie downs. This system works great for me. For heavier campers, another option is the lower frame mount tie down system rent and rear but those run $1,500-$2,000

@GregL Thanks for all this feedback, Greg. The camper can definitely affect which tiedowns that you get. Looks like you swapped over to the HappiJac option. Have you gotten to take the camper out with it yet?

I purchased those two years ago and they were fine. The only alteration I had to do is to cut off an inch and drill a new hole because they were two wide for my jacks. All in all they work great though.

I have these on my 21’ tundra holding small Pastime camper. My 2 cents.. they are a quick, relatively cheap solution. No drilling into your rig, and will work for most applications. That being said they are not super bomber, wouldn’t use them off road or with a large slide-in.

@Sz Thanks for sharing your feedback about these tie-downs. I definitely agree about not using these off road.
