Do All Models of 2021 Honda Passport Fit Tekonsha Trailer Wiring # 118809

Question:

2021 honda awd touring passport Will it have the plug in already installed that mates up to the kit plug in that installs under the left side rear interior panel. Questioning if all passports have this plug or only on models with a trailering package . Thanks

Hey Fred, this is a great question but all version of the 2021 Honda Passport have the needed wiring and connectors to install the Tekonsha trailer wiring harness part # 118809 that you referenced. This comes with the needed fuses to activate the tow package as well. Do you have a hitch picked out already?

Fred, I installed this on my 2023 Passport. The wiring harness this attaches to should be on the 2021 Passport as well. I ran the wiring through the frame and added some wire sheathing to prevent corrosion and rubbing. You will have to have a mounting bracket if your Passport doesn't have a place for one.

The installation instructions were easy to follow and the harness has everything you need to complete the job. On my Honda Pilot I keep the harness in the rear compartment hatch and run it out under the rear door when using. It may take a little tugging to remove the panels but they will snap right back into place.
