Cushioned Equalizer Recommendation for Replacement for EQ356

Question:
I want to replace the current equalizer, shackles, and bolts. I cannot determine if this kit is correct or not. If not correct please refer me to the correct parts the current equalizer is an EQ-356, approximately 6.25inch center to center, but I also see that the rear spring is making contact with the equalizer hanger. Do I need shorter shackles? A smaller eye to eye measurement on the equalizer? this is on a 2010 Stellar F31LKSG 5th wheel toy hauler, I believe the axles are 6k with a 12.5k gvwr

Hey Carson, based on the dimensions you listed the correct cushioned equalizer replacement for what you have would be the Dexter part # K71-654-00 that you referenced. These are going to be just a little shorter than what you have now so that should be enough to help prevent the spring from contacting the equalizer. Other than that though your springs could be somewhat worn out and flattened.
