Is There Any Advantage In Using a Single Leaf Spring Instead of a Stacked Leaf Spring
Question:
Hello, I am looking to replace the leaf springs on my 10k car tandem trailer and came across item e46SR mono spring 6000 lbs. Are there any advantages or disadvantages to using this in place of a standard multi leaf spring on a tandem axle trailer? Thanks!

The only advantage you might get from using the 1-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 6,000-lb Trailer Axles - 25-1/4" Long # e46SR instead of a handful stacked together, like the 5-Leaf # e34SR, is if you're needing to lower the height of your trailer.
Aside from that we recommend replacing leaf springs with ones that are as identical as possible so as to keep everything the same on your trailer. It's also important to note that you need to make the same changes to both sides of your axle at the same time. So you'll want to change the leaf springs on both sides and make sure they match.
