The closest option we'll have to your Atwood 33535E LP/CO2 Detector is going to be the RV Propane Gas and Carbon Monoxide Detector # RS54FR that you were already looking at. It comes with two mounting plates to try and eat up some of your old cutout hole. The dimensions are as follows:

The long plate measures 7-1/4" wide, 3-3/8" tall and hole to hole measurements of 6" (center of hole to center of hole)

The short plate measures 5-3/4" wide, 4-1/2" tall and hole to hole measurements of 5-1/4" (center of hole to center of hole)

this is way too big to replace my current detector. Not sure why this would be the best option. Please show me additional options that are closer in size to my current detector. It is 3 1/2 by 2 1/4" - the box. There is a frame around the cut out as well. thank you

@DeedeeH The only other option we currently offer would be the Atwood RV Propane Gas Detector AT36720, which is 4.13" tall x 2.99" wide and would about and inch of space behind it since it's a recessed mount. The RV Safe # RS54FR I was talking about above can be mounted without the trim plates and is 4-1/4" long x 2-5/8" wide x 1/2" thick. It's a surface mount design so you'll only need room for the wires to slip through behind it.
