How do I bleed the brakes with this actuator? Can I use the safety break away lever?

Hey Darrel, to bleed the Dexter Zinc-Plated Brake Actuator # T43397007K that you referenced you would need to use a 2x4 and the safety chains to push on the coupler of the actuator to pressurize it.

That 2x4 & chain method as a giant pain. If you remove the little cover plate, just behind the hitch tighten down knob, you can see the actuator cylinder. You can use a good sized screwdriver to push it in to bleed. It's much easier than wrestling around with chains and 2x4s.
