Question:
I need to add 7 pin wiring with brake compatibility to my 2025 Ford Escape. It did not come with any tow package/wiring. I was looking at the universal kit part 22551, is this the best option for my vehicle type? if so, do I need to get a brake modulator as well?

Hey Katlyn, I have a similar solution that is going to be a little easier to install with first starting with the 4-way kit part # TK57CR as this will not require quite as much wiring since it installs by plugging inline with your taillight harnesses instead of requiring you to hardwire to them like with the # 22551.
Then from there you would have to adapt it to a 7-way with the # ETBC7 which also comes with whats needed to wire in a brake controller as well. For a brake controller I really like the Redarc Tow Pro Liberty # RED52VR as it's proportional and can sense how hard you are applying the brakes and it only puts a small knob on the dash of your vehicle as well. What are you going to be towing?
