Which Dexter E-Z Flex Equalizers Fit 2002 Bass Cat Jaguar Trailer

Updated 02/11/2026 | Published 02/07/2026

Question:

Wanting to do an equalizer suspension upgrade to my 2002 Bass Cat Jaguar tandem trailer. The EZ Flex K71-655-00 measurements look almost identical to my original bracket, except it says its for a 35 axle spread. Just sitting in the garage mine looks to be between 32-33? Would the K71-655 be the correct replacement?

Hey Curt! I wouldn't get too caught up in the axle spacing for the E-Z Flex Equalizers # K71-655-00. The best thing you can do is measure your existing equalizer. If your measurement from left to right bolt hole on center is 7-3/4" then this is a good fit. If the measurement is 5-3/4" then the # K71-654-00 is the better option.

Matching that equalizer length is the most important part. This keeps your suspension geometry the same so everything continues to work as intended.

Both of those parts are just the upgraded equalizers. If you don't already have wet bolts and heavy-duty shackles I recommend getting the full kit # K71-652-00 (5-3/4") or # K71-653-00 (7-3/4") which include these additional components.

Where are you headed next with your Bass Cat Jaguar once you upgrade the trailer suspension?
