This Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Class III - 2" is built for everyday utility and weekend towing. With a maximum gross trailer weight of 5,000 lbs and a tongue weight rating of 500 lbs (or up to 5,500 lbs GTW and 550 lbs TW when used with weight distribution), it’s ready for small campers, boats, utility trailers, and bike racks. The sturdy square-tube design and concealed cross tube keep things strong while maintaining clearance for smooth travel.
There’s no need for a lift or special tools. This hitch bolts right to the frame using existing attachment points. Hitch had a few areas that were scratched / scraped to bare metal. You need to package these better.

Fit perfectly
What's the point of powder coating the thing if you're not going to adequately package it for shipment? My hitch arrived pretty banged up with lots of exposed metal to rust.
Installed as the video showed with no s urprises.
Arrived on time, excellent fit, great quality. Paper instructions were supplemented well with YouTube tutorial for my specific vehicle, and was an easy installation as a result.
Easy to install
Perfect fit, although the techs at Pepboys had trouble understanding the video instructions...Make sure you pair this with an adjustable ball hitch as the Mazda cx 90 rides very low
Took 4 hours to install on a lift without breaking anything. Would rather take the time for the install than rushing through it.
Arrived in two days. Used the install video he sent us the link to. Worked great, got it installed in under an hour!
Jacob did the work together with me at my garage and everything happened fine. We had some difficulties to adjust the right screw and he did not rest until we close the installation. The Hitch is working perfectly
Great hitch fits perfect on 2025 CX-70 Phev.
However video instructions on this are wrong at 7:00. Those clips slide out they do not need pulled. You will break them and not be able to reinstall them if you do that. Rest of the video is great. Probably took about an hour to install.
Shipper scuffed it up a bit dragging it around so I hit it was a little paint before installing. Install instructions were good, but there's a little clip you have to take out of the bumper support and instructions have you use pliers to twist it. You can use a socket extension inside the clip and not break it. I broke mine with the pliers but realized you could use the socket extension when I put it back in.

I want to rate this as 5-star excellent, EXCEPT, the hitch receiver was not shipped in a box, but wrapped in plastic and tape. While the entire piece is nicely powder coated, the top of the receiver was dinged up from the shipping process, unfortunately in the most noticeable place.
The install guide was very good and the installation went well.. about an hour with a friend. The order process was great and the shipping was fast. The receiver looks great on the CX-70. I strongly recommend this receiver and my *only* complaint was the condition mine was received in.
Always great suff. Quick shipping, great instructions and perfect fit.
