This Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Class III - 2" is built for everyday utility and weekend towing. With a maximum gross trailer weight of 5,000 lbs and a tongue weight rating of 500 lbs (or up to 5,500 lbs GTW and 550 lbs TW when used with weight distribution), it’s ready for small campers, boats, utility trailers, and bike racks. The sturdy square-tube design and concealed cross tube keep things strong while maintaining clearance for smooth travel.
There’s no need for a lift or special tools. This hitch bolts right to the frame using existing attachment points. The fully welded construction means no extra assembly, and all the hardware needed comes in the box. It’s designed for an easy DIY install—just line it up, bolt it in, and you’re set to tow or haul.
The gloss black powder coat finish is applied over a protective base coat to stand up to rust, road debris, and weather. Precision robotic welding adds strength and ensures a perfect fit every time, so once this hitch is on, it’s built to stay put and perform for years of towing and hauling.
When you’re not towing, the hitch doesn’t take over your vehicle’s rear end. Its concealed cross tube keeps the setup neat with only the 2" receiver visible below the bumper. It’s a simple, factory-like appearance that fits well with cargo carriers, bike racks, or any other accessory you use day-to-day.

Those are actually some great photos -- thanks for sending them in! The install looks flawless. What will you be towing? Bike rack? Kayak trailer perhaps?
