Do Flow Through and Cap TST Sensors Work with Same 507 Monitor

I have a TST 507 series monitor. Will both the TST caps and TST flow through sensors work with this monitor? They seem to be the same price but the flow through sensors have the convenience of inflating/deflating without removing them from the tire. Is there any reason why someone would use the caps and not the flow through sensors?

Hey John, yes the flow through sensors like the part # TST-507-FT-S4 and the cap style like part # TST-507-RV-S2 both work with the 507 style monitor you have now. The flow through is generally the preferred style since it allows you to inflate through them. The cap style would be preferred if the space was limited or you just wanted the simplest setup as possible and wanted the sensor to be just like a standard cap. How many sensors do you need?

They are the same but different. I chose the cap style for simplicity and the fact that it is just one less place for a tire to leak. That extra valve just looks like potential for trouble in my eyes. Your mileage may vary!

John, I bought a 2017 Class A pusher with flow-through style sensors already on each wheel. However, there was NO MONITOR. I bought the TM-507 color Monitor AND a set of the TST Caps from e-Trailer for my 2024 Bronco toad. Everything works perfectly. The monitor reads BOTH style sensors. You will love the TST System. g
