Hey Randy, thanks for reaching out. That isn't the typical intended use for the Lippert Spare Tire Winch # LC159056 but I see no reason why you couldn't mount it under a gooseneck neck. As long as you can find a nice secure mounting location, that should work fine. The distance between the mounting hole locations is 5-1/4" on center.

I have used this tire winch for spare tie on a Winnebago motor home! That’s a 19.5 tire and wheel approximately 150lbs I secure it with two safety chains it’s has worked great use an battery impact to raise and lower it with extensions from rear bumper!

@VaughnB Hey Vaughn, thanks for sharing! That's a big tire and it sounds like the winch is holding up like a champ. That's great to hear!

I used this winch to mount my spare underneath my Cargo/Snowmobile Trailer. I wanted to get the spare out of the inside to have more space for my gear. I mounted it with threaded slugs in the T-rail that was inside the floor of trailer. I did have to build a bit of a brace for the tire to rest on and 3d printed a guide holder for the crank extend and to be at the edge of the external trailer wall to be able to easily crank it up or down when needed. works great! tire hasn't moved one bit in 3 years. solid. Unfortunately it seems I can't add pictures to this post.

@ThorV Hey Thor, yea unfortunately there is no way to add pictures to the comments on here (yet). Thanks for taking the time to share all that though. Glad to heat the spare tire winch is working out. Sounds like you came up with some clever fixes to make it work with your setup.
