Updated 02/10/2026 | Published 01/25/2026

Question:

I have a 2023 Chevy. Silverado 3500 HD with the 2019 865 Lance slide in camper. And when the camper sits in the bed, its just about an inch and a half low, im wondering if the severe service ses Enhancement system is going to give me that little bit of lift to the sag. Im definitely not over payload. I just dont like the look of that sa. Hey hyundais themed to be shining my lights in peoples faces on the road. The camper stays in the truck bed all the time and is only used for a recreation camping trips. Im trying to decide between airbags and the simple option of the ses.Severe service kit for the rear axle..

Hey Jan, welcome back! I actually have a different kit I would recommend if you'd be open to a different suggestion? The best option is the Roadactive kit part # RAS3611-CHD which gives you all the support you are needing as well as improvements in ride quality (loaded and unloaded) as well as handling. Other kits all have a compromise whether its difficulty of maintaining like air bags or a harsher ride quality like the Timbrens but this kit does not and gives you the best of all worlds so I know you'll really like it.

Hey Jan, how did things turn out with the RoadActive Suspension kit on your Silverado and Lance camper setup? Did it give you the lift and ride support you were looking for? Your update could make it easier for others comparing it to airbags or the Timbrens.

@JamesonC It have me about 3/4" and mostly leveled out but did not necessarily lift, just better support it seems.
