Hey Harold. To flat tow your 2021 Chevrolet Equinox, I recommend the following parts:
Tow Bar and Safety Chains - etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plates item # e74ZR
Base Plate Kit - Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms item # RM-523193-5
Wiring Harness - Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit item # RM38FR for LED lights or item # RM26FR for Incandescent Lights
Supplemental Braking System - Curt RVi Series Shadow 2 Flat Tow Brake System item # RVI94FR for a permanent install or the Curt RVi Series 4 Portable Flat Tow Brake System item # RVI44FR for a portable system. These systems work with all types of motorhome brakes; electric, hydraulic, and air. They require no modification to your motorhome.
Please note you will also need the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit item # RM-751495 if you go with the permanently installed item # RVI94FR. This makes sure your braking system isn't applying when it's not supposed to.
The Curt RVi Series Shadow 2 Flat Tow Brake System item # RVI94FR comes with the required charge line you need when flat towing your Equinox. If you decide to go with the portable Curt RVi Series 4 item # RVI44FR you'll also need the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles item # RM-156-25.
High Low Adapter - The tow bar needs to be within 3" of level. If you measure the height of the inside top of the hitch receiver tube on your RV, and the height difference is more than 3 inches above/below the base plate tab height, you'll need a high/low adapter. I have linked a FAQ article that explains all this in more detail along with our selection of adapters.
What kind of motorhome do you have and are you interested in a permanently installed braking system or a portable one?

I installed the base plate myself in my garage, I drove it up on some car ramps that I have. The video that E-Trailer has online is very good and easy to follow. I would defiantly use soap and water as shown in the video to remove the front facia. The tabs that snap into the fenders are easily broken; patience is required here. The wiring harness was purchased thru E-Trailer also, I am fortunate to have a friend with a lift in his garage as to try to do this without a lift would be difficult, at 67 years old crawling around under a car on the ground is hard on the body. The small wires in the taillights also require a lot of patience. I installed the charging kit from E-Trailer also, this didn't work for me as the batterie would go dead on long drives. I ended up installing a batterie disconnect. I hope this helps, Good luck Pete

The Roadmaster Direct Connect system is well made, and although not everything you need to complete the task all components are available through e-tailer. In my opinion installation is a two person job, on a Chevy Equinox, and benefits from having a vehicial lift. The e-tailer video makes it appear easier to install than actual experienced. It took me and a helper about 10 hours to complete. You will need hardend steel drill bits and a suitable 1/2" drill as you will have to drill several holes in the car unibody frame.
