Hey Pavel. The only tow capable hitch we have for your 2025 Mercedes AMG GLE 53 is the Stealth Hitches item # SH62TR. The Draw-Tite item # DT75GR you were looking at doesn't fit the AMG body style.

The Stealth Hitches item # SH62TR comes with everything you'll need to tow a trailer. It's got a ball mount and the wiring necessary to add a 7-Way connector. This kit also includes all necessary installation hardware, along with an accessory ball mount you'll be able to use for a bike rack or cargo carrier.

The Stealth Hitches item # SH62TR has a 8,000 lbs towing capacity and a 600 lbs maximum tongue weight. The included ball mount comes with a 2" hitch ball. If you need a 2-5/16" ball you'll also want item # C40007.

Do you have a brake controller and what kind of trailer are you pulling?

You can add this information, along with any other questions you have, where it says Reply to Jerred H.

Hey Pavel, how did the Stealth Hitches setup work out on your AMG GLE 53 for towing your trailer? Your feedback could really help others looking for a hitch that fits the AMG body style.

Hey Jerred, I am in the same situation, need a hitch to tow a motorcycle trailer (about 5000lb) on my 2025 Mercedes AMG GLE 53. If I install the Stealth Hitch you recommended, I am curious on how the wiring would work? Would it connect to the car electronics or simply connect to brake/turning lights? Thank you

@RafaA Hey Rafa. The wiring included with the Stealth Hitches item # SH62TR is going to splice into the factory wiring for your rear lights, connect directly to your battery, and run a line for a brake controller. If you don't want to install a traditional in cab brake controller, you can use the Curt Echo item # C51180. This will plug directly into your 7-way connector and you wouldn't have to run a wire up into your Mercedes cab.

@JerredH apologies for my ignorance, but I never had a trailer before. It is actually a mini toy hauler that when loaded with the motorcycle and tools weighs about 4400lb. Now I need to install a tow hitch on my car (2025 Mercedes AMG GLE 53) to be able to tow it. I understood that I need to install the Stealth Hitch, but I’m confused about the brake controller. As much as I love new Tech, i’m not sure how I feel about an app controlling the trailer. Isn’t there an option for a controller that is connected to the car and automatically reads the breaking inputs from the car and sends to the trailer? Thanks again.

@RafaA You're welcome! No apologies necessary. This is all new to you so the only stupid question is the one that you don't ask as far as I'm concerned. I'm hear to help. I hear your concerns on the Curt Echo item # C51180 routinely and it is understandable. The app connects via Bluetooth so you don't have to worry about signal drop. There is a traditional cab mounted brake controller for your Mercedes. It's going to wire into the brake light switch coming off of your brake pedal and send the signal directly to your Toy Hauler through the 7-Way connector included with the Stealth Hitches item # SH62TR. I recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller w/ Universal Wiring Harness item # RED52VR. This is a proportional brake controller that activates your trailer's brakes when your Mercedes decelerates or stops. It brakes your trailer with the same force so it's not only the safest but easiest on your SUV and your trailer. The Tow-Pro Liberty item # RED52VR has a unique installation method where the only visible portion is the control knob that's about the size of a nickel. The main unit is hidden away inside your dash to be completely out of the way and out of sight.
