Today, we're gonna take a look at the center section for the B&W Turnover Ball Underbed Gooseneck Hitch, has a 30,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now, you can pair this center gooseneck section with a custom installation kit for your vehicle to get a nice, sturdy hitch for your towing your gooseneck trailer. Now, this part is only the center section of the gooseneck hitch, it will not work without the install kit, and the install kits we do sell separately on our website. We do recommend to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year, make, and model vehicle, and it'll show the required install kit for your application.

Now, with this B&W Turnover Ball Underbed Gooseneck Hitch, you get the best of both worlds. When you go to tow, the turnover ball creates a nice, sturdy, dependable connection with your gooseneck trailer, and when you're done towing, you can just stow the ball upside down in the hitch to get full truck bed access and a nice clean appearance. And the way you would do that, you just pull on your handle there, that'll open it into the open position, and then we mentioned you just pull the ball out, flip it over, there's a little handle there you can hold onto, and drop it into place, and then release your handle, and that'll lock it, and now, you have the full truck bed access. They do use a 5/8 inch thick spring loaded steel locking pin on the end of this handle, and that goes all the way through the ball to secure it into place. This handle here, when you install this, this access handle is at your rear driver's side wheel well.

Now, just to open this again, go ahead and pull this out, but it uses a single piece machine ball socket, provides the rugged durability. If you noticed on the ball itself, it has a square ball base, this will prevent the ball from turning in the hitch during hookup. And if you noticed, the corners or the edges are chamfered off, and they call this a corners only fit of the stow ball, and the reason is when you put this in there, if those we're not chamfered off, they would be a real tight fit, so any dirt or grind that would build up in there would make it really hard to get the ball in and out, so when they chamfered it, when you put it in there, you can see it leaves openings on each corner, so all that dirt or grime will fall out, prevent it from building up. Now, they do also offer specially designed accessories, which we sell separately, makes it very easy to customize this hitch to fit your needs. This is designed for a gooseneck trailer, but if you do happen to tow a 5th wheel trailer, B&W does offer a companion hitch adapter, which is a 5th wheel hitch with a square base on it that you can drop right in there, lock it into place, and then you could tow a 5th wheel trailer.

This does include the spring loaded safety chain hookups, they are built in, and this is a very simple installation, we mentioned you get the custom installation kit for your specific vehicle. And then what you'll have to do is drill a four inch diameter hole cut into the bed to be able to access this opening. Now, if you noticed here, they do include, let me zoom back out, this epoxy kit. This epoxy kit is used that once you cut the hole in your bed, you can use this epoxy to seal around there to prevent any corrosion . And then you'll drill four 1/2 inch diameter holes for these safety chain U-bolts to go through.

This is a nice powder coated steel, it is very sturdy and corrosion resistant, it is made in the USA. Few specs again, we mentioned the gross towing weight capacity is 30,000 pounds, tongue weight capacity of 7,500 pounds, and the gooseneck ball is your standard gooseneck size of 2 5/16 diameter. But again, just to show you, we have it in the open position, drop the ball in, and you can drop the ball, and you can see there's holes on all sides, so you can drop it in whatever side you want.
