Question:
Will the PowerMax PM47VR fit in the same opening as my WFCO WF-8945, or am I going to be cutting the wall more??

Kevin, the PowerMax 45A Power Center with distribution panel and converter for RVs # PM47VR is designed to replace WFCO power centers like the WF-8945 and WF-8945-AD, so in many cases the existing opening is the same or very close. I just checked the old part numbers, and the overall dimensions and cutout requirements are pretty much spot on identical, so I don't foresee you needing to trim or patch anything up on this swap!
This is a full power center replacement - AC distribution, DC fuse slots, and charging all in one unit - so even if minor trimming is needed (shouldn't be in your case), you’re not adapting anything or redoing a lot of wiring; it's basically just unplugging the connections on the old unit and replacing those connections and breakers/fuses on the new one.
What type of RV is this, Kevin? And have you ever worked on a this system before?
