Question:
Do I need to buy special fuses or breakers when installing a PowerMax power center?

Expert Reply:
Linda, on the DC side, PowerMax power centers like the 45A # PM47VR, 55A # PM67VR, and 60A # PM77VR use standard automotive-style blade fuses, which are widely available and often reused from your existing setup, assuming fuses aren't blown.
On the AC side, the power center includes the breaker panel infrastructure, but the breakers themselves are installed during setup. In most replacements, people reuse the existing RV-rated breakers (technically residential breakers) from their old power center or install new ones that match their circuit ratings.
So, you’re not buying proprietary parts - everything is standard electrical hardware. If you want to confirm any compatibility for your specific RV or batteries etc., just let me know what you’re replacing. I'm happy to help and you know where to find me!
