Its works fine at highway speeds, just make sure it's on right and tightened down by the secure straps. I carry to full size mountain bikes that my Grandkids race with.

I bought a BMW X3 without a trailer hitch last spring. I liked the used car and figured I'd deal with the bike transport later. Well, later showed up and after a practice lift of my e-bike, I knew I couldn't go roof rack, so I shopped rear mounts with all the concerns you probably have. (ease of mounting and removing, stability, damage to my car, and just basic sturdiness). Well, after a "few calls to action", the Fullback 2 has passed all the tests. I've gotten pretty fast at mounting it by loosening the straps a bit and leaving everything else as set. Of course, someone could rip it off fairly easily and the rear cargo space is inaccessible while the rack is on. I haven't figured out the supplied cable lock, but I haven't tried very hard. As far as handling speeds, don't tell anyone but I've tested it beyond what is legal. P.S. And I'd certainly buy a product from E-trailer again,
