Hey Bob, I am not sure what video you are referring to but if it's trailer wiring we typically are using the part # PTW2993 to test the circuits of the trailer to determine the function of each wire. This has a hook and probe which makes it easy to test without damaging the wiring.

Thanks for replying. The video was the for installing LED Trailer Combination Tail Light - Submersible - 6 Function - 7 Diodes - Red Lens - Passenger Side. You were able to test the lights w/o the tow vehicle hooked up. That is the tester I was asking about. Thank You Bob Kaye
