Recommended Stealth Hitch for a 2018 Volvo XC60

Hello, I would like to know once I get this hitch installed in my Volvo XC 60, 2018, will I not have any problems with the sensors have factory built on I wanted to know if this hitch will not trigger any sensors when you’re backing up the car or driving it normally once I buy rack from you to carrier and hold eBikes My other question is: Do you have some other kind of key to lock the hitch in place? The keys to lock the hitch in place that come with it look like they can be bought anywhere, they look like the ones for unlocking paper towels, or opening soap dispensers in public restrooms, making it easy for anybody to buy them anywhere and unlock the hitch while parked and attended. I don’t want any random person to get a hold of this key and then unlock the hitch and have problems later on. Do you offer any other kind of safer key to lock the hitch in place while parked and left and attended?

Hey Mauricio. The Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver item # SH87FR will not set off any sensors without your bike rack attached. You'll want to disable them if possible when you use your bike rack because it does block them. This is a common issue with all the hitches that fit your 2018 Volvo XC60. It does not block the lift gate sensor.

The lock included with the Stealth Hitches item # SH87FR, that secures the accessory ball mount, is one of thousands of combinations. There is no other alternative. It would take someone a really long time of trial and error to find the right key to remove it.

Additionally, Stealth Hitches is the only one who sells their replacement keys. They recommend writing down your key code in case you lose your keys and need a replacement. The lock number is only available on the keys themselves. This prevents someone from reading your key code and coming back with the correct key at a later time.

Hello Jarred Thank you for replying. I am not really sure yet but I know I have to eBikes with very fat tires and I know you need a special rack for them. I know each bike weighs about 80 to 90 pounds so I don't know which one will be there. They're wide one. I would like to buy this from you As far as the installation of the hitch itself, don't know where to reach out. That's one thing to stop me from buying it. I don't know where to get the information for the installation. I'm looking for a reputable and well-known place that will not scratch the bumper of my Volvo guarantees. What is the price of the rack that you suggest to get if you have one what is the price of the installation of the hitch itself? Mauricio

hello I have another question what are the differences in between? Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" Part Number: C53HR $251.09 and Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" Part Number: SH87FR $638.00 Why won't cost more than the other one can you please explain the differences Thank you so much for your time. @Mauricio they are the best hidden and no issues with the sensors, I installed this myself, little cutting under the back bumper that is not seen so no big deal. And you can take the reciever hitch off so when not in use you don’t see anything !! Hope this helps.

@Mauricio The Curt Hitch item # C53HR does not have the removable receiver function, which is why it is significantly less than the Stealth Hitches item # SH87FR. The Hidden Hitch by Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver item # DT82GR would split the difference cost wise and also has the removable receiver. All three of these hitches will work with a bike rack like the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE item # HLY84FR.

@Mauricio I no longer own the Volvo. That said this hitch worked great and no problem with the sensors when rack was off. I also used an installer listed on the Etrailer website. I have wide tire EV bikes which weigh about 70 lbs each and the wide tire Hollywood rack is perfect.
