Question:

Looking for bike rack hitch for 2026 Volvo XC60 Plug-In Hybrid. We saw comments about some of them interfering with hands free trunk opening and most of the comments are for older vehicles. Do you know if the hitches work for 2026 model and would you recommend one over the other - for example is one easier to install than another? Thank you!

Hey Colleen, congrats on the new SUV. To install a hitch on your 2026 Volvo XC60 Plug-In Hybrid, I recommend the Draw-Tite item # 76194. This custom fit class III hitch will bolt directly to your car with included hardware. It has a 2" receiver and a 900 lbs maximum tongue weight so it'll work great with bike racks.

The Draw-Tite Hitch item # 76194, like the Curt item # C92WR that also fits your Volvo, will block the lift gate sensor right around the 2" receiver. You're not going to want to be kicking in that area anyways once you install the hitch. What you'll need to do is go to the left or right to find an area the sensor isn't blocked.

That installation process for both of these hitches is identical. I have linked an installation video below showing the Draw-Tite Hitch item # 76194 being installed so you can see how to get it setup.
