You don’t have to give up your clean factory look just to carry extra gear. The Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver tucks the cross tube behind the bumper, leaving nothing visible when you remove the receiver. The 2" x 2" receiver detaches without tools, and a hitch plug keeps the opening sealed from dirt when it’s not in use. It’s a simple way to add function without changing your vehicle’s appearance.
When you’re ready to hit the trail, the receiver locks securely into the center block for bike racks or cargo carriers. When the trip is over, turn the handle, remove the receiver, and stow it away. The integrated lock keeps it secure in place while in use. It’s rated for a maximum tongue weight of 600 lbs, giving plenty of capacity for racks and carriers.

Its been a year now and have to say entire process went smoothly and the product which was an exact fit for my SUV so far has been working superbly. Find someone who has experience installing these hitches and you will be supremely satisfied on having to spend the extra money.
Amazing product, If you right tools at home.......getting installed is very easy. Product is very sturdy and overall experience with etrailer was smooth. Communication channel is positive and they keep asking customer if we need help.....Which is very encouraging to shop @ etrailer.com
The hitch was easy to install and has been very easy to use. All of the parts are very high quality so the install and removal of the receiver is always very quick and clean. It also fits tight and latches in place so we never worry about it coming loose and falling out. I highly recommend.

2023 Volvo XC60. I bought this and the towing kit separately. If you're not used to doing these, like me, the install was actually a fun and easy project, if you take your time to understand how things come apart/go together. On my 2023, there were 6 bolts plus one underneath in the fender areas. The bolts at the tail lamps did not need to be removed (but their black covers still did). The rear hatch black round "bumpers" needed to be unscrewed in their centers before unscrewing them off. Finally, the removed reinforcement beam is really to be discarded! I also cut much less of the heat shield and fascia and used garden pruners and a bi-metal saw hand blade respectively. I did not skimp on the torque wrench, though.
This is the third hitch I've purchased from etrailer. 5 starts each time. This one was a trickier install but I knew that going into it and the instructions were easy to follow. I'm glad I went with a stealth hitch.
Very easy to install. Took a total of 45 minutes. I made a cut 12" wide and just short of the seam 2 3/4" back. Placed masking tape to make a straight cut even though no one will ever see the cut. The hardest part of this is getting the hitch attached to the steel receiver. Make sure the black spring loaded knob is turned to the rear twice and listen for a click. If you dont do this, at least with ours, it would not seat all the way. I was unable to do this standing up. Had to lay down to get the receiver in. My wife installed it herself and put the saris bike rack on. Looks way better on our volvo xc60 than an exposed hitch. I am very happy with my purchase.
Hitch is perfect, fits perfectly on the car ( Volvo XC60 2022 ) and looks like awesome. Very easy to install with instructions provided. Very good clearance from bike on the rack to the car!
Great hitch easy to install with a little bit of knowledge!! My son and I did it in about a hour ! Really trick hitch cannot see anything when reciever is removed ! Takes 15 seconds to put the receiver hitch back in ! Great for Volvo XC60
Excellent quality, fast delivery. Install instructions were easy to follow, with color photos. Etrailer also had an install video I watch prior to delivery. My wife is very pleased with the hitch for mounting her bike rack on her new Volvo XC60.Dealer wanted $3000.00 for an Electric unit... HaHaHa.

Very happy with both the rack and the experience with etrailer. Installation was fairly simple. Have the exterior styling kit and went on without a hitch. Get it?? Cut out of heat shield and fascia can be less than what's recommended I believe, but can determine what you need. For me I made a minimal cut and then finished cut after installing which was a bit more difficult, but worked.
Lightning fast, loved the "real people" aspect of the processing emails, and arrived in great condition. I'll be using etrailer as a first choice every time.
A very straightforward install on my Volvo XC60. I recommend watching the video. It was extremely helpful.

The Stealth Hitch was fairly easy to install on our 2024 Volvo XC60, especially with the supplied video on the eTrailer webpage. It went exactly as in the video. Even though this was the most expensive hitch option, my wife likes it because it is hidden, and can only be seen when you attach the receiver. We plan to use it for bike racks and maybe some other accessory, but no trailer towing.
