Troubleshooting Firestone Air Bag that Isn't Sitting Square

Updated 12/15/2025 | Published 12/11/2025

Question:

Hello, im having a fitment concern on one of my airbags. The driver side does not seem to sit straight like the passenger side bag. The bag itself Seems like its leaning about 3/4-1”. Ive seen all the videos and pictures and those are sitting straight compared to mine. Thanks. 2025 Chevy Silverado 2500. Stock height.

Hey Roel, thanks for the picture of your Firestone bags installed. Have you verified that the bag and brackets are installed in correct orientation? It looks like that's fine but worth checking to make sure the bag isn't possibly not lining up because it's more offset due to being rotated. Have you tried lowering the suspension of the truck to see if that once the weight of the truck is on the suspension if the axle lines up better and allows the spring to sit square?

Thank you for the reply. This is with the truck on its own weight on the ground. The brackets only have one way, otherwise they will not fit. The only adjustments are 3 settings and thats to rotate the bag, which do not help to straighten its position, Both are installed as per instructions which is the weird part.

@RoelM I found a link on Firestone's site about bag alignment that I think will help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-C1NNnXeQJk
