Looking for Replacement Slide Out Seals for 2020 Heartland Mallard IDM251BH

Updated 01/20/2026 | Published 12/03/2025

Question:

I need to replace the slide-out seals on my 2020 Heartland Mallard IDM251BH. Heatland told me they dont have info on the model, and I need to source all parts from a third party. So here I am. I have images if it helps.

Hey Greg, yeah replacement parts for RVs is like that unfortunately. There just isn't the same type of database available for replacement parts like vehicles have. So for seals your best option is to identify the type and size of your slide out seals and then from there we can see what you'd need as generally there are only a few different types.

I attached a link on this page that has all of the seals we have but you can also email me back with the pictures you mentioned and I'll take a look.

Hey Greg, did you get a chance to identify the type and size of your slide-out seals for the Mallard? Once you had that info, were you able to find a good match from the options on the page? Your update could make it easier for others replacing their RV seals too.

@JamesonC not really, I have been caught up in the Holidays. However, with the recent rain in LA, I really need to sort it out. I forwarded some images to @chrisr. I will also forward that email to you because I don't see a place to post an image. I will not it is a 2021, not 2020 as previously stated.

@GregC I did just see the pictures you sent but I am not able to totally confirm what you have. It looks like it might be a bulb seal from one of the pictures but aside from that it's hard to see. Could you maybe pull part of the seal off to see more of what it looks like and also get an idea how big the bulb is?

@JamesonC. It is really hard to tell. On the inside sides it I took off the piece I thought was holding the seal on, and it was more of a channel for the slide cables. On the sides and top of the inside, it looks like the seals slide into a thin channel. If not, I would think the whole slide would have to be removed to get to any screws holding a plate in. On the outside, the side looks the same, but the top looks more like a bulb that is glued on. More pictures are included in the email chain.
