Video Transcript for Hands-On with the Rubber Bulb Seal for RV Slide Out

Jeff Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this 30 foot long rubber bulb seal with the c-channel for your RV slide out. Now, this c-channel rubber seal is used to prevent water from leaking into the slide out on your RV. Basically, this seal will seal against the RV when your slide out is closed. It's commonly found on Forest River campers and other RVs.

Protects your RV from extreme weather and pest. Dimensions on this. We've mentioned the length of it is 30 feet. The width is one inch wide. And the overall height top to bottom is 7/8 of an inch tall.

This seal does slide onto an existing track channel located on the RV frame surrounding the slide out. And this will work with a stick-on wiper seal with track. Part number SR99FR, SR27FR, or SR67FR. All three of those we do sell separately on our website. Now, this part is made in the USA.

But that should do it for the review on the 30 foot long rubber bulb seal with the c-channel for the RV slide out..

Seal don’t react to slide because of the rubber is too stiff. Slide won’t come in properly. I am out the cost of a 30’ roll.
Beware of steels rubber wiper seals

by:

Quality of material is still excellant after 1 year.

by:

Very industrial if that is what you need. Match the wiper which is a plus. Harder then oem to slide together without good finger strength.

by:

Best hitch inthe industry. No getting out to try and close the jaws2 - 3 times. Much better than Reese.

by:

Product was far superior the original seal. Should last longer with a better seal.

by:

Product was much better quality than oem. Item was securely packaged and shipped in a timely manner.

by:

Good quality and fair price.

They look great when they ship to you but after 2 mths in the heat and cold, the slides stick to them like glue and pull them off the track channel. No amount of different lubes seem to help. WD40, nope, Axle grease (moly type), Nope, even a lard based oily lube would not stop them from sticking. The slide was cleaned with alcohol and thinners to get any debris off and them lubed as well and they still stuck. I spent more time trying to get them back in the track on a garbage can in the RV parks than they spent on the trailer driving down the highway. Would I get them again, probably cause that's all thats out there.

This slide out seal worked perfectly. Had the seals changed in less then a half hour.

by:

The items were on back order, eTrailer notified me of this and gave me the new delivery date that was only a few days longer then original. Very happy with the service.

by:

So far, so good! Definitely much better than the original installed on the coach. It’s a bit tricky pushing it through the grooved track, especially if it’s a longer slide out. You have to push it then pull it from the other side. Some silicone sprayed in the track helps.

by:

Overall, easy to install with the exception of the top piece, as I didn't want to undo the slide shade. Seal works well with no problems. Thanks!

  • Recommended Replacement Slide-Out Seals For A 2012 Keystone Vantage QBS32 Travel Trailer
Based on the picture you provided the Rubber Wiper Seal and Bulb for RV Slide Out # SR98FR is not the same design. It looks like you have a wiper seal in there and that the bulb seal is slid into a track or glued on either on or above the wiper seal. That being said you can still use the # SR98FR to replace it, just make sure the length of the wiper seal is 2-1/8 or close to it so that you don't end up getting a seal that's too small and doesn't make contact with the slide out. This seal...

  • Recommended Replacement Slide Out Seals For A 2014 Heartland North Trail Travel Trailer
You've got both a wiper seal and a bulb seal here with the wiper seals having a track for the bulb seal to slide onto. The Rubber Wiper Seal with Track for RV Slide Out # SR87FR you were already looking at is most likely the closest option to what you currently have. For the bulb seal you can use the Rubber Bulb Seal for RV Slide Out # SR74FR. The wiper seal will go on first and you'll want to have the sides overlapped by the top. You can use the adhesive backing to hold it in place and...

The Rubber Bulb Seal with C-Channel for RV Slide Out - 30' Long x 7/8" Tall Item # SR84FR will replace a 1" x 7/8" C-Channel bulb seal and the three notches are there to provide extra rigidity to prevent the bulb from smashing. If your bulb is not a C-Channel shape then just send me a picture and I can find the correct replacement for you.

  • Recommended Bulb Seal Replacement For A 2019 Forest River Sierra Fifth Wheel
The channel on the # SR37FR would be approximately 1/4" too large so you'd want to go with the Rubber Bulb Seal for RV Slide Out - 1" C-Channel # SR84FR instead. This bulb will fit much closer to your 13/16" channel. I do recommend drilling a small hole every few feet through the outer bulb and using a screw to secure the base of the bulb seal to the track once in place.
