Identifying 2022 Bronco Taillight Wires

Question:
I want to tap into the right and left taillight wires to connect to a GK Glow Fifth Wheel spare tire mounted light. I need the color of each wire to each taillight for: right turn, left turn, reverse/backup, stop, running and hazard light. On 2022 Ford Bronco. Can you provide this information or direct me to a resource that does, please. Thanks for your help!

Hey Michael, thanks for reaching out. Ford doesn’t publish an easy color chart for the 2022 Bronco taillight wiring, and the colors don’t always match the usual “Ford standard.” Some folks on Bronco forums even mentioned that the wire colors didn’t line up with what they expected, so trying to match turn, brake, tail, and reverse by color alone is a gamble.
Best move is the practical one: pop the taillight loose and use a test light or multimeter while you hit the brake, flip the turn signals, turn on the running lights, and shift into reverse. That’ll tell you exactly which wire does what so you can hook your spare-tire light in the right way the first time.
