Hello Phyllis; the Furrion Chill HE Low-Profile # FR89TQ (white) or # FR79TQ (black) does have the variable-speed compressor but not the follow me functionality from the remote like the Chill Cube. This uses a traditional wall thermostat and operates like the old Furrion Chill units.
The main thing that makes this unit stand out over the Chill Cube is the low-profile design. If you want the other features the only option is to get the Chill Cube. You can choose from the following:
