Recommended Universal Recovery Board Mount for the Side of a Camper

Updated 11/23/2025 | Published 11/21/2025

Question:

Hi, I have two pairs of metal actiontrax and Im trying to find a good location to store them on our truck/camper. Seeing if you think the seasucker universal recovery mount would be a good option/idea for my situation. We do a lot of USFS roads/rough roads, but also a lot of interstate. I was thinking of either the rear aluminum storage rack or 1 pair on each side of the camper. Do you know if they would work on aluminum and also if putting the suction on the siding of a camper would risk delaminating it? I attached a few picture of our setup for any ideas you have. Thanks!

Hey Derek, thanks for the picture! The SeaSucker Universal Recovery Board Mount - Vacuum Mount item # SEA39XR is going to work great on your setup. These will have no problem attaching to the aluminum sides. It's not going to delaminate the aluminum either.

The SeaSucker Universal Off-Road Mount item # SEA45XR would also be a good option. It just depends on where you want to mount them and how long your boards are.

I recommend using the SeaSucker Vacuum Pump Seal Lubrication Gel item # SEA44VR to keep the seals from drying out.

Where did you take that picture you sent in?

You can add this information and any other questions you have where it says Reply to Jerred H and I'll be happy to answer them.
