Question:

The video is for 2021 f150. Is it the same for 2023 f150 also. Are the wires in stock harness the same colors

Hey Brian. The Curt Trailer Connector Adapter item # C57672 is going to install in the same way on your 2023 F-150 as it did on the video we made for a 2021 F-150. Those trucks are the same generation but I can not guarantee the wiring colors are going to match up. Ford had to cut some corners on wiring harnesses during Covid and basically take what they could get from their suppliers.

To be safe before you do any cutting or splicing, I recommend checking the functions of the blue and amber wire on your F-150's wiring harness using a circuit tester like item # PTW2992.

@BrianB With a circuit tester like item # PTW2992 and a buddy in the cab putting your truck in reverse.

Hey, I installed on 2013 G150 XL. Colors are/were the same. I stipped, twisted, soldered & heat shrinked each wire then heat shrinked entire bundle at connection point Almost Red Neck proof
