Will etrailer Class 3 Hitch e83ZR Fit 2025 Subaru Forester Touring Hybrid?

Question:

Looking at a trailer hitch for a 2025 Subaru Forrester. Part e83ZR. Is this still compatible if its the Touring Hybrid? Battery instead of spare tire in trunk. Thanks in advance! L. Cohen

Hello Lawrence, thanks for reaching out! Yes! The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e83ZR will indeed be compatible with your 2025 Subaru Forester Touring Hybrid. This hitch actually fits all models of the 2025 Forester.

What do you plan to use the hitch for? Towing a trailer - or a bike rack?

Jessie Thanks for your answer. We'll mostly be using with a Thule bike rack that has a down size adaptor. A very rare light weight trash trailer use. that needs the 2". We're waiting until we pick up the car and will likely be adding roof cross bars to the order. Thanks again Larry Cohen

@LawrenceC That's awesome, Larry. Thanks for sharing! I can definitely help with the roof rack too. Does your Forester have any factory installed rails on the roof? If so, are they flush with the roof? Or raised up off the roof? Or is it a naked roof? Let me know and I am happy to make a recommendation.

Hi Jesse Please note that I got the spelling of your name correct. The car (we pick it up tomorrow) will have the fancy, factory installed flush mounted racks. They want $600 plus for the cross bars! Thanks Larry
