Front Hitch for Parking 6,600 lb Trailer With 2014 Ford F-350

Updated 10/27/2025 | Published 10/22/2025

Question:

I have an F350 Super Duty 2014 which the Draw-tite 65049 will fit and I noticed you mentioned using it to make getting a trailer into tight spots easier. My trailer has a dry weight of 6600 lbs. The Draw-tite 65049 has a pull of 9000 lbs. If all I am doing is moving the trailer into a tight spot on my side lawn will this hitch work?

Hello Jonathan; since you're maneuvering the trailer into a tight spot on your lawn you need to go off of the gross trailer weight. The Draw-Tite Front Mount Hitch # 65049 maxes out at 5,000 lbs so you will need a hitch with a higher rating. The only option is the EcoHitch Hidden Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH59FR. This hitch has a gross trailer weight of 10,000 lbs so it won't have any issues handling your trailer.

What kind of trailer do you have?

Thank you. I will need to decide how important it is to move the trailer using the front hitch.
