Suspension Kits for Different Tandem Axle Trailers

Updated 10/21/2025 | Published 10/17/2025

Question:

Hello. Im looking for a tandem axle suspension kit for two trailers. 3.5k axles. Both have hangers with 1 at 4 center and 2.5 ends. The measurement between eye centers on one is 7.5 with links at 2.25 on center and the other is 8 with links at 3 on center. Do you have a kit that has those component sizes or should I piece together? If you need more measurements or details I can get them.

Hi Richard, are you looking for replacement equalizers and shackle straps? Are the 7.5" and 8" measurements the width of your equalizers from center hole to center hole (measurement A in the attached picture)?

Robin, Yes, I am looking for equalizers and straps. The 7.5" and 8" measurements are measurements for A in the image - center to center of the end holes. Thanks!

@RichardM 7-3/4" like # TREQE1 is the closest we have for both of those equalizer measurements unless the 8" equalizer is a straight equalizer like # TREQR89. For 2-1/4" shackle straps you can use # TRSL225 and for what I imagine is probably 3-1/8" # TRSL313. If you want to upgrade to wet bolts, bronze bushings, and heavy duty shackles we also have complete kits which would be # MR46ZR for 2-1/4" and # MR76ZR for 3-1/8".

@RobinH You had me double guessing my measurements, and I am glad you did. Went back out and remeasured with a straight edge instead of tape measure. Both are in fact 7 3/4" The 2-1/4" shackle strap measurement was right, and you are correct, the other set is 3-1/8". So all the parts you provided are perfect. Thank you!!!

@RichardM glad to hear it! It is much better when it works out that way and you don't find out you have parts that aren't a common size.
